Dear Edgerton Families,
The holiday season is just around the corner and we are happy to share a wonderful opportunity for families in need of support. Thanks to the generosity of Edgerton Outreach, Thanksgiving and Christmas hot meals are available to families in our community at no cost. These meals include everything you need to have a delicious hot meal, including turkey or ham, sides, and dessert. Meals will be delivered on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve (respectively).

Gifts for Kids and the Giving Tree

The Rock County Prevention Network, a youth drug-prevention organization, is looking for feedback! RCPN has launched a survey to learn about adult's thoughts on alcohol, medication, and nicotine use in our communities. The data will inform the network's activities for this upcoming year. The survey only takes about 5 minutes to complete and is open to any adult in Rock County. The fully anonymous questionnaire is available online.

Screenagers is a documentary that explores how increased screen time and social media affect teens and substance use. School clubs to host electronics recycling event - October 12th - 8am - 12pm
Two Edgerton High School clubs are hosting an electronics recycling event in the school parking lot on the morning of Saturday, October 12. The Business Club and the Eco Club are working with Universal Recycling Technologies to take the electronics items delivered to the parking lot from 8 a.m. until Noon.
No registration is required and there is no charge for recycling the following items: televisions, computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, speakers, hard drives, phones, calculators, electronic toys, copiers, small kitchen electronics, remote controls, camcorders, VCR players, DVD players, radios, stereos, scanners, docking stations, computer fans, DVRs, fax machines, cameras, GPS navigation units, receivers, CD players, game consoles, cable boxes, cell phones, satellite receivers, tablets, small servers, MP3 players, pagers, routers and more.
Large appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, furnaces, washers, dryers, water heaters and water softeners will not be accepted at this event. Also, contaminated medical equipment, fire alarms, dehumidifiers, devices with mercury, exit signs, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and units with liquid or sludge will not be accepted. Questions can be directed to Dan White, business education teacher, at dan.white@edgerton.k12.wi.us.
According to White, URT is an industry leading recycler and holds the highest levels of certification and recognition for data destruction and environmental controls, including NAID AAA, e-Stewards and R2v3 certifications.

For me, it was my grandma, grandpa, aunt, and cousin. For you, maybe it's your family. Maybe it's your friend. Maybe it's your neighbor. Maybe it's your teacher or classmate. Maybe it's you. Cancer affects all of us. In 2024 alone, it is estimated that 2,000,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Within Wisconsin, 40,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer.
