Hello and welcome to Yahara Valley Elementary School (YVES).  

At YVES, we are dedicated to creating a learning environment where every student can thrive and enjoy the journey of learning, growing, and making new friends.  Our teachers and staff believe that ensuring success for all students comes from having high expectations for learning in a positive, safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.  Our quality curriculum, instructional strategies and resources are designed to meet the needs of each learner.  

Our school utilizes PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and Responsive Classroom strategies to help establish a culture that provides behavioral support to positively impact social, emotional, behavioral and academic outcomes for all students. We teach and model character-building traits and develop strong leadership skills in our students to prepare them for future success.  With that in mind, we have high expectations for individual student accountability as it relates to treating oneself and others with respect. 

Here at YVES, we appreciate family/community input and involvement and know that actively engaged families are a key to our continued success. Families are encouraged to join the Yahara Community Club (YCC), participate in fundraisers and attend school events and activities.
